There is a Nalu fairy tale about a girl who picks up and brings home everything she finds on the ground who eventually picks up a snake that tries to eat her.
And I'm just laughing because I can guarantee you that the writer was a parent exasperated with their own daughter who picked up everything and made the story up to try and stop her.
