Mmmmmm. Yeah, you're right, a lot of people probably do mean that. That's... still not great though. The algorithms are still actively designed to mess you up, and it's so ridiculously easy to fall into a rabbit hole of radicalization or even "just" a cycle of anger and self-loathing without realizing it, and then your fun "hang out with friends talking about blorbo" is suddenly a scrupulosity-driven campaign to force the bad ships out.
