I do find it somewhat amusing that recovery resources will say "you'll still have good days and bad days".
A bad week ten years ago: I would drink too much, spend 20+ hours crying in bed, get into at least one fight, and sleep under four hours per night.
This week, which is bad: I lost an hour of sleep total to insomnia, I struggled to get my work done (but my manager still said I'm doing great), and I sometimes had to cajole myself into doing stuff.
My baseline shifted so much that a bad week today would've been a great week then.
