Observation: the frequency at which I berated someone else for making a mistake went down at the same time as the frequency at which I beat myself up for making a mistake.

Ooh ooh!! *waves hand* I hope this is not overstepping but if your OCD works anything like mine, then it's probably due to you personally having become better at tolerating uncertainty -- which then leads to less controlling behaviour towards yourself and... not necessarily lower standards but less of a habit of jumping the gun to make sure everything is 11000% okay at all times.
