So, Ms Romance sim has been striking out (no or negative chemistry) with everyone she meets.

Now she has maximum chemistry with... my spouse's extremely horny OC.

I sent them on a date and Ms Romance immediately rolls a fear of marrying the OC. MA'AM YOU JUST MET HER TEN MINUTES AGO, CHILL.

Update: the OC, on the other hand, rolled wants to marry two of her other lovers.

One of whom is Ms Romance's neighbor whom she struck out with and who is now dating the other neighbor. This is going to be terrible/hilarious.

Further update: neighbor came home and (even though Ms Romance was on the phone at the moment) caught OC "cheating". She went back to her apartment, got changed, then ran into the apartment Ms Romance shares with her sister and brother-in-law to slap OC. This did not impact the quality of the date at all.

Then she proceeded to practice on Ms Romance's ballet barre. While Ms Romance and OC (autonomously, I might add) got it on.

Another update: they had a dream date. And Ms Romance earned a cleaning skill point from it, a feature I didn't even remember (or maybe know) existed.

My romance sim struck out with the apartment neighbor to the left and then with the apartment neighbor to the right.

Then two in-game days later, the game pulls me into a first kiss cinematic... apparently the two neighbors are an item now. They won't stop being romantic on my sim's porch.

Good times

Remembering that time I made a 25-person commune in Sims 2, thinking I'd make them self-reliant: getting all their food by gardening and fishing, no outside jobs, and so forth.

And then about twelve hours in, someone started a fire while cooking. Self-reliant means no fire alarm, they had to put it out themselves. Then it turned out that most of them had a fear of fire, so six sims went into aspiration failure.

This game is delightfully nonsensical

I love how Sims 2 Free Time hobby chance cards all assume that all sims work a stereotypical office job, because you end up with scenarios like "business tycoon gets into an argument about music with boss and is demoted" or "military grunt walks cube to cube talking to coworkers" or "security guard working the 20:00-02:00 shift finds time to take a morning walk during work hours".

Editing a Sims 2 mod to allow for multiple official dating/engaged/married relationships: easy, ten minutes to change five lines of code.

Fixing the pie menu to remove options that shouldn't be there, such as asking your boyfriend to be your boyfriend (again): I've been at it since September and I still can't figure it out!
