That was... sure something

In today's Dear Prudence, a couple tried to kidnap their deceased son's child because the widow was trying to move to her home country.

If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say "my in-laws are the sort of people who would kidnap my son to get their way" is part of the reason why she's moving far away.

Okay, but if 5E changed the origin of tieflings and aasimar from "extraplanar fuckin'" to "your ancestors made a business deal with outsiders and it had weird epigenetic effects" then why not do the same for half-elves and half-orcs?

Many years ago, Queen Pomplesnoup the Sixteenth secretly made a pact with the local orc tribes to empower herself with the might of Gruumsh to defeat an invading necromancer's army. Now, her great-great-great-grandson, Prince Fafefifofu has just had a child... who has tusks and dark green skin!

[mumbling about how physics being seen as a "harder" and therefore "better" science than chemistry, which is in turn "harder/better" than biology, is a factor of misogyny]

"I mean, by the most commonly retold myth, Aphrodite would have been aunt to the rest of them, because she was made from their grandfather's... uh... I forgot the word... sickle-processed testicles."
