There's a specific accent that native speakers of my language develop if they grew up in an Anglophone country.

I can't hear it in my head when I speak, but it's there on recordings and I HATE IT.

It bothers me that we use a base ten number system but our timekeeping is based on the number twelve.

I've been staring at a spreadsheet of times for about two hours now, and my brain - which automatically converts from 12 to 24 hour - has, for complicated reasons relating to the above, stopped distinguishing between 6 and 8 and also 3, 5, and 7.
Between the various purges and shutdowns of fannish spaces, I'm kind of wondering if we should be making an effort to back up our favorite fandom.com wikis?

Given a large amount of exposure to a certain style of writing, I can replicate it fairly well.

But for the life of me I can't tell you what, exactly, makes it distinct from any other style of writing.
I'm looking at Sims 2 data, and I gotta ask: in what hecking world do the devs live in, that teachers consistently make like 40-90% more than lawyers?
