Unfortunately Not a Real Pony

Four days of progressively worsening leg pain, then nothing on the two days that I had a big lab project, then bad leg pain the next day.

Apparently I just don't feel pain when I need to not be in pain?

"Why do I feel so terrible" asks person with Feel Terrible Syndrome.

Man, I hate it when I injure myself and the injury still hurts after a night of sleep. Talk about ridiculous.

My body yesterday: OW OW OW SHOULDER PAIN IT HURTS SOOOOO MUCH OWWWWWWW.

My body today: Okay, you get the point, I'm tired of being in pain so just chill it with that shoulder.

So this week I learned that my body is only capable of transmitting two sources of pain at a time.

Which means that if my feet are sore and I get a splinter, I will spontaneously stop feeling the gaping surgery wound in my mouth.

When my last job got stressful to all hell, all my muscles seized up in pain but my digestive system was fine.

Now that this job is stressful to all hell, my muscles are fine but my digestive system is a wreck.

I don't understand.

I managed to hurt my entire forearm reading a book, that's a new one.

I have exactly one (1) joint that's been stiff lately, especially when it's cold.

Curiously, my frenzied crocheting has given me an RSI in my right wrist.

Me: Yes, it's a great idea to spend two days in a row playing volleyball and scraping the ceiling, and following it up with a day of dragging heavy dirt around. What could possibly go wrong?
