As a kid, I decided that the correct word for a horse with both wings and a horn was "unigus".
Later I discovered that "alicorn" is the proper term.

I think the FDA temporarily lifted the ban on blood donors from Angry Cow countries*? Assuming my health is up for it (which I think it is, currently), anyone have advice on donating? Things to avoid and stuff?
*People who lived in Europe** 1980-1996 (like yours truly) were banned due to the risk of variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease.
**Nevermind that most of us east of the Rhine never had a flippin' mad cow to begin with, and certainly no vCJ. Just blanket banned most of Europe, they did.
