In Pillars 2, one of the factions is headed by a Director Castol, who works with slavers to expand the slave trade. This is one of the facts that his rival, Governor Alvari, brings up to discredit him.

Alvari opposes slavery, and yet if she becomes leader (by your actions, for the record), she will implement a system of brutal labor that looks very much like sharecropping and the prison-industrial complex.

Pillars 1: Would you prefer Defiance Bay to be controlled by a lawful evil military dictatorship, a neutral evil crime syndicate, or a chaotic evil fundamentalist mob?

Pillars 2: Would you prefer the Deadfire Archipelago to be controlled by a monarchy of spoiled royals with their heads so far up their pampered butts they don't see how their caste system is destroying their people, a group of anarchists in the negative stereotype way pirates who are out for their own profit and don't care about anything else, a late stage capitalist megacorp that will work the people to death and literally grind up the world for profit, or a military that wants the people alive only because they can be used as ballast?

Pillars of Eternity 3 (hypothesis by yours truly): Would you prefer Yezuha to be controlled by a fundamentalist line of priest-monarchs that have owned the land for centuries, a group of modern-day descendants of a religious cult that has done a good job of converting the rest of the world by force, a sect of head-in-the-clouds atheists that want to ban all religious and cultural traditions, a scientific group infamous for torturing people for their research achievements, or a pack of polar nihilists who hope that spreading their faith will please their god enough to disintegrate their souls?
My workplace has me working bizarre hours, and (in addition to overtime pay) they're buying me breakfast/dinner.

I got avocado toast the other day. It was... okay. I'm still not a fan of avocado.

I dated this jerk for about a month in high school... fifteen years ago... and I still have such negative feelings about the whole thing that I still make air quotes in a very weird and specific way because it's the exact opposite of how my ex made them (while trash talking the things I liked).
