I keep seeing that "if your kid always cries when brushing their teeth, you'll have to treat them like a person and figure out what the problem is exactly" post, and, y'know, everything about it is solid.
Except that the people who self-righteously post about how their bratty kids throw tantrums when brushing don't generally treat *themselves* as people either. They're so used to powering through pain and discomfort that they no longer realize there's some other way to solve the problem.
