I'm all for giving people access to keyboards (and the spell check that comes with most software these days) as an accomodation for handwriting struggles.
Problem is, I LIKE writing by hand. I like the feel of ink on paper, I like the way it focuses my brain in a way that keyboards don't, I like not having to stare at a screen every time I need to jot something down.
Keyboards and spell check, yes! But ALSO handwriting accessibility objects and lessons and no more harassing people for their handwriting!
Funny how the dominant narrative is "kids are super resilient" when we're talking about abuse, poverty, and bigotry.
But the moment you start talking about kids seeing a porno on the internet by accident, all of a sudden they're delicate little flowers who need to be protected.
Fucking hell, first "she's not a virgin because she feels arousal", now "she can't be insecure because she dresses sexy", Spy x Family fandom really showing it's ass re: not understanding how people work.
