I have a coworker (same guy as usual) who will ask me how I'm doing, do I have plans for the weekend, etc, and then get mad at me for answering vaguely.

"I'm not asking out of politeness, I genuinely want to know what's going on with your life!"

The problem is that when I tell him the truth, he always finds a way to either berate me for my choices or throw himself a pity party.
