As a vegetarian, I own a number of specifically vegetarian cookbooks.

This has led to some humorous situations in which I pick up a cookbook and am unreasonably shocked to discover it has meat recipes.

Setting aside the very big issue of "it's a massive consent violation that teaches people not to trust you", the practice of sneaking vegetables into people's food is counterproductive.

Sure, you can trick someone into eating some broccoli right here and now. But in the long term, you've demonstrated that they should be suspicious of food, and thus taught them to be more picky, not less.
