For several years, I could not hang out in fantasy-dedicates spaces (TTRPGs, video games, books, even TV wasn't immune to this) without being bombarded with Critical Role stuff.
Sometimes it was the creators (everyone needed a CR cameo in their thing), but most of the times it was the fans. And heaven help me if I brought up that I don't like the thing; people would downright yell at me if I admitted that listening to people play games is just not my thing.
So now that CR is apparently burning because they signed up to be the mascots of the Screwing People Over corporation and promptly got screwed over... listen, I'm trying to take the high road here and acknowledge that this is sad for them, but there's some shaudenfraudian glee as well.
