There's nothing I enjoy about open bigotry, but at the very least when people are openly hostile it's easy for me to name it and have people agree that it's wrong.

But there's that really subtle bigotry my Very Obviously Queer family gets a lot, even in our super liberal and accepting city, even from other queer people, where people are just... kind of low-grade rude in ways that feel very anti-queer but which I can't prove are bigoted at all.

It's a lot easier when people just go out and call me slurs.
