In The Princess Bride (the book), Count Rugen gets a fancy sword from Domingo Montoya, who spent a ridiculous amount of time balancing it for six fingers.
Can someone with like... an actual understanding of sword forging explain how big the difference between "six fingers" and "five fatter fingers" is, sword-wise? My layperson thought is that...it really shouldn't make a difference at all?
