When I was fifteen, I was visiting my cousin for a few days, and his wife mentioned that their shower head was broken so I'd have to crouch under the bathtub's faucet to wash myself.

And it dawned on me for the first time that most people... don't regularly do that? And that my tendency to hunker under the bath spigot was maybe a sign of... something... unusual.
