I deliberately take up as much space as possible while taking the stairs at work. (I do let other people go first, though, and wait until it's clear.)

And some people still see me taking the stairs and decide that they'd rather run up/down and shove past me (and dangerously bump me) in the free six inches than just wait a minute.
