This place is not a place of honor
But I am not an honorable person
No highly esteemed deed is commemorated here
But I am not esteemed either
Nothing valued is here
And neither am I valued
What is here was dangerous and repulsive to us
As I am to those around me
This message is a warning about danger
I have seen many of those
The danger is in a particular location
They are about me, the messages
It increases toward a center
I am dangerous, they tell me
The center of danger is here
It is in me, so they say
Of a particular size and shape
Whom have I harmed? What have I done
And below us
to deserve this?
The danger is still present
Monster, they call me
in your time
And so it will be
as it was in ours
I will be the monster they believe I am
The danger is to the body
But tell me-
and it can kill
-who is the monster?
The form of the danger is an emanation of energy
The one who lives in peace?
The danger is unleashed only if you substantially disturb the place physically
Or the one who cries “monster” when faced with the unknown?
This place is best shunned and left uninhabited
