Brain: White people's staunch refusal to make nonwhite characters is uncomfortable and extremely visible, but it's merely a symptom of the underlying problem, which is that white people on the whole have racism so thoroughly ingrained in them that they won't even consider relating to People of Color as fellow people with the same rich inner worlds as white people.
Me: That's fair. Still frustrating.
