I have a coworker who has repeatedly made jokes about my left handedness: that I'm actually a right hander faking it for attention, that lefties should be beaten into right handedness again, that left handedness is the source of my problems.

He knows that my parents forcibly converted me as a kid. He does not make these jokes at other lefties on the team (who were not converted).

So this dude heard about something awful that happened to me and honed in on it as a source for jokes.

Jesus fucking christ. Why are "dark humour" motherfuckers all the same. Have you told him he's cruel and nobody likes him because of that yet?

I've told him that he's a jerk (and also a bigot), though not about this specific type of joke. He sometimes yells at me for my effort, sometimes Well Actually's me about how it's totally cool, and sometimes goes into a privileged guilt spiral about it.

So I've started reporting him to our team lead. Now my coworker doesn't talk to me very much.
