If I append "I think" or "possibly" or any other qualifiers to my statements, it's not because I don't have enough conviction in my beliefs, it's because I grew up in a household where I couldn't change my mind on something as simple as whether I wanted to wear a blue or red shirt, or be wrong about whether it was sunny outside, without being yelled at for "stating lies" like I'd just laundered a bunch of stolen money meant for an orphanage.
