I've reached the "too many cards in my wallet" stage of adulthood.
Things I really appreciate now that I've had to fight a thorny, overgrown fruit tree for my delicious sugary snacks:

The fantasy of thorny brambles completely retracting when you approach.
The concept of pruning healthy branches off a tree for the sake of good air flow and also NOT SACRIFICING A PINT OF BLOOD TO THE HARVEST GODS.
