I've set up my personal computer to have zero things pop up when booting. Everything that needs to load quietly does so in the background, everything else can STFU.

My work computer? I have no admin privileges. So every time I boot it up, I get four popups, two programs, and a whole bunch of notifications all fighting for dominance on my screen.

I was listening to the Heroes soundtracks while filling out my lab notebook and accidentally clicked something from Heroes VI, and oh shit, the music and animation is gorgeous, I might actually play this game at some point.

Spent two hours taking apart a light fixture, and will likely spend another hour putting it back together once the replacement bulb gets here.

Money savings for replacing the bulb vs the whole fixture? $4
