I do have to wonder whether the left's obsession with using "if it's not going to solve all the world's problems immediately, then what even is the point" to reject policies that help small numbers of people/do harm reduction/make small steps toward making the world a better place wasn't deliberately planted there by right wingers trying to weaken us.
