It occurs to me that someday I'll have to explain "your other parent loves your grandparents and that's why they keep visiting, but those people are toxic and selfish and really, really mean, so we decided not to tell them about you until you're old enough to make that decision yourself and stand up for yourself" to my kids and... I'm really not prepared for that.
