An actual conversation that happened:

Me, a Mentally Ill (TM) late twentysomething: "I had a serious issue with lashing out in anger. When I was twenty, a friend made a joke in poor taste and I threw a bottle at his head."

A Therapist with TWO Degrees and Over a Decade of Experience, Wow Much Skill and Experience: "I don't believe you did that. You're too empathetic."
