When I was 18-20, people (mostly my mother) kept telling me to date "for fun" and not audit people for the Future Life Partner role.

Going to be honest, dating "for fun" seems like one of the least fun things I could have been doing! I don't like dating! I don't like the "falling in love" stage! I very much prefer the "this is My Person and we do stuff together" thing!

The Phantom Menace is my favorite Star Wars movie and I don't like it when people make watching orders that skip it.

"Chimpanzees are HERBIVORES so humans should be too" says person who clearly doesn't know that both regular chimpanzees and the bonobo (the latter being our closest relative) are very much omnivorous and will even eat other primates.

So if you want to go with the Appeal To Nature, you should be suggesting a diet composed of actual tree leaves* and also cannibalism** in addition to fruit.

*humans can't digest leaves, something something useless appendix or whatever, you all are familiar with The Googles

I always want to see the numbers

I'm really curious as to what the overlap between the "divorce is always bad" crowd and the "you can't cut off your parents no matter what" crowd.

Anecdotally I feel like the latter are almost entirely a subset of the former, but I want to see the numbers.
